FURLONG/FORTNIGHT BUREAU
This was an organization founded to act as a kind of service bureau through which various hackers, makers, and geeks could collaborate on solving problems for outside clients. We did a couple of projects circa 2012, including numerical analysis of a tall tower and hosting a workshop on atrocity prevention. It turned out that such people have little difficult finding work on their own, and so F/FB didn't actually turn out to be that useful. It was wound down early in 2014.
